The Adventures of Nancy – the secret life of Butch
Hi there,
Nancy here again.
I’ve been away from the computer for a little while. Too many things to do, like guarding the house for my Mum, organising Christmas cards and presents, chasing the birds away from the back yard and keeping a watch out for that horrible cat from over the road.
Just a quick note to tell you about the secret life of Butch, my friend. You see, Butch has a problem, as you can see from the photo above. He certainly needs psychiatric help though what good it will do him I’m not so sure about. You see, when ever Grandma Corinne goes to visit Butch, he disgraces himself. I think it is disgusting, actually. I can hardly bring myself to tell you about “his wee problem.” Suffice it to say, he leaves little puddles everywhere.
It could be a boy thing. It could be that he is so pleased to see Grandma that he cannot control himself.
Whatever the cause, I’m pleased that Grandpa Trevor is giving him the help he so desperately needs.
Talk to you soon – when I’m not so busy.

P.S. How come Butch gets to sit on Grandpa’s special chair?

The Adventures of Nancy – Grandpa has a birthday
Hi there readers,
Nancy – the dog with attitude here again.
I nearly forgot to mention a very significant event. It happened about two weeks ago. I was so busy I forgot to tell you about it.
Grandpa Trevor had a very special birthday. It was his 60th Birthday too. We had a special party for him. Uncle Simon and Aunty Leanne came over from Sydney just to see me. Well, I suppose they came to see Grandpa too. And my Mum was there too. And Rose and Keith who are Grandpa’s friends. They are Butch’s mum and dad – but Butch didn’t come which is just as well. I didn’t want to share my piece of cake with him.
We had a good party.
You can see the birthday cake in the photo below.
Talk to you again soon.
Nancy.
PS: When Grandpa is not writing or busy playing games with me, he likes to look at Australian birds. That is why there one on his cake. We didn’t eat the bird because it has a magnet on the back.
The Adventures of Nancy – home again
Hi there,
Nancy here again.
Sorry – it has been a while since my last blog entry. I have been very busy. My Mum finally came to pick me up from Grandpa Trevor’s home. Wow! Was I glad to see her after so many weeks! I was pleased to see her – and sad to leave Grandpa.
Since then I’ve been busy checking out everything at home. I had to check all the rooms of the house to see if Mum had been looking after everything. Then I had to check out the garden to make sure everything was secure. I had to bark at a few birds. They take such liberties when I am not there, so I had to straighten them out. Then that nasty cat from across the road keeps coming over and parading on the front verandah. The cheek of him.
Anyway, everything seems to be in order so I can now relax a little.
Talk to you again soon.

The Adventures of Nancy – where’s Butch?
Hi there,
Nancy here again after a little break.
I’ve been busy helping around the house and garden. Grandpa Trevor has been spending too much time on the computer and I haven’t been able to sneak into the office to talk to you, my loyal readers and fans. (Yes – both of you.)
Forgot to tell you what happened last week. Grandpa and Grandma invited Keith and Rose around for dinner. When they got here I barked my usual welcome to them, like I do for all of our visitors. I like to make people feel welcome.
Then I realised that someone was missing. Where’s Butch? I asked them politely but they only made excuses. They said something about Butch having to guard the house. What rubbish. I know that they have a very good alarm system.
Never mind. I might just wander over there and visit him myself. No wait – tomorrow might be too hot. I couldn’t arrive all hot and sweaty now, could I? It just wouldn’t be ladylike. I’ll wait until Grandma Corinne takes me over in style, riding in the front seat of the car.
Talk to you soon.
Nancy.
The Adventures of Nancy – I just want to play a game
Hi there readers,
Nancy here again.
I’m a bit peeved at the moment.
All I want to do is play a game. Grandma Corinne is so busy doing something with her plants that she has no time for a game. And Grandpa Trevor sits at his computer writing on his Travel Blog or putting pictures on his Birding Blog all day. They don’t play any games with me. I give them a little bark to remind them every so often, but they do is growl at me and tell me to be quiet.
It’s just not fair. I need exercise. And playing chasey around the house is a noisy game. I can’t help it, I get so excited.
Oh, I think I’ll just go and have another sleep in my nice soft bed.
Talk to you soon,
Nancy – the Dog with Attitude.
