Poem #19 Come See the Babe
Come See the Babe
Come, see the babe
Who was born to be King,
Come, see the Saviour
Whose praises we sing.
Come, see the light
Of His glory revealed,
Come, praise the Lord,
Our salvation He sealed.

Poem #18 Mountain Rider
Mountain Rider
It looms slowly behind him and
Grows into a mountain of glassy green.
He begins to move with it,
Slowly at first –
Then quickly and smoothly.
His body moves into balance
With the movement.
The wall of green turns
Into a tumbling white mass of snow
Toppling over green glass.
He moves his body to the left
And feels the power of the mighty
Force behind him.He leans to the right and
Darts the other way.
Then down the cascading
Wall of green-mixed snow
He slides.
With a crash the wall grows tame
And sinks timidly into its
Golden home –
Weary from its long journey.

Poem #17 Banksias
Banksias
The
Golden
Candles
Glow
Strongly,
Lighting
The
Grey
Bush
With
His
Touch
Brightly.

Poem #16 Nancy and Me
Nancy and Me
This morning
I went with Nancy
For a walk upon the beach. It was calm.
No breeze.
No waves.
Not a ripple
On the glass-smooth water.Nancy and me
Went for a walk
Along the firm, wet sand.
I had to strain
To keep up with Nancy
As her little legs
Took her yap-yapping
After the seagulls.

Poem #15 Approaching Storm
Approaching Storm
White-topped, angry, boiling clouds
Deep black beneath
Jagged flashes of lightning
Window-rattling thunder rumblings
Raindrops hammering the rooftops.
