Nancy and Me
This morning
I went with Nancy
For a walk upon the beach. It was calm.
No breeze.
No waves.
Not a ripple
On the glass-smooth water.Nancy and me
Went for a walk
Along the firm, wet sand.
I had to strain
To keep up with Nancy
As her little legs
Took her yap-yapping
After the seagulls.

Very good indeed…I never saw it coming! 🙂 I think the name Nancy had me off picturing Sid ‘n’ Nancy! 🙂
I am pleased that you eventually picked it. Nancy is my daughter’s dog. We call her the “grand-dog” as we don’t have any gradn children (yet). She often comes to stay with us when our daughter is off travelling somewhere. Nancy is an usual name for a dog but she was named after Nancy Wake (“The White Mouse”), an Australian woman who helped many during the French Resistance in WWII.
